Banda Los Sebastianes de Saúl Plata scores its fifth No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart as “Modo Incógnito” rises 3-1 on the April 30-dated survey.
“Modo” lands at No. 1 with a 9% boost in audience impressions, to 5.68 million earned in the week ending April 24, according to Luminate, formerly MRC Data. The track is composed by Horacio Palencia and is one of 18 tracks that belong to the deluxe version of the album Sin Miedo Al Exito, which has not entered the charts. The set’s title track, however, preceded “Modo” atop the chart for one week in July 2021.
“Modo” earns the Sinaloans their fifth champ among a collection of 16 career entries. The cut reaches No. 1 in its 11th week on the list — tying with “Mi Meta Contigo” (2019) as the fastest rise to No. 1 for the group.
Eden Muñoz’s first top 10 as a soloist: Also in the top 10 on Regional Mexican Airplay, Eden Muñoz earns his first top 10 as a solo act on any airplay ranking as “Chale!” climbs 14-8 in its sixth week.
Muñoz’s first venture to the ranking’s upper tier, unaccompanied by any other act, arrives following his departure as lead singer for Calibre 50 and under his new label, Lizos Music.
“Chale!” advances with 4.29 million in audience impressions, up 44%, earned in the U.S. in the week ending April 24, and takes home the Greatest Gainer honors.
The track concurrently makes progress on the all-metric Hot Latin Songs chart, advancing 10-9 despite a dip in both digital sales and streams. It earned 3.2 million U.S. streams in the week ending April 21, a 3% decline from the 3.27 million streams it generated the prior week, which pushes the track down 18-20 on Latin Streaming Songs.
Back on Regional Mexican Airplay, Eden Muñoz has notched 30 top 10s as part of Calibre 50; 21 out of those have hit No. 1 among a compendium of 43 total entries — the most leaders among all regional Mexican acts.
