Scott Greenstein Is UJA 2022 Music Visionary of the Year – Billboard


Scott Greenstein, president and CCO of SiriusXM, will receive UJA’s 2022 music visionary of the year award on Wednesday, May 18 at The Pierre in New York City.

Since Greenstein joined SiriusXM in 2004, he has pioneered new forms of audio programming, signed major talent and brands to SiriusXM platforms, and expanded SiriusXM’s programming lineup to include more than 300 channels.

Under Greenstein’s leadership, SiriusXM has pioneered exclusive artist-branded audio channels, including The Beatles Channel, Eminem’s Shade 45, and Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio. Greenstein has also led the company’s signing of talent and content partners, including Drake, Howard Stern, Kevin Hart, and brands such as TikTok and Netflix.

Last year, Greenstein launched SiriusXM and Pandora’s Small Stage Series, held in smaller venues throughout the U.S. Headliners have included Alicia Keys, Brandi Carlile, Coldplay, Dave Matthews and Ed Sheeran. Greenstein has also staged a series of exclusive SiriusXM subscriber concert events featuring such top stars as Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, U2, and Lady Gaga, and, as well as newcomers who got early airplay on SiriusXM, including Florida Georgia Line, Halsey, Billie Eilish, and Lewis Capaldi.

Prior to joining SiriusXM, Greenstein served as chairman of USA Films. During his tenure, the studio released numerous award-winning films, including Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic, Spike Jonze’s Being John Malkovich, and Robert Altman’s Gosford Park.

Greenstein and Jennifer Witz, CEO of SiriusXM, were named to the 2022 Billboard Power List in January.

Greenstein was honored by LIFEbeat in 2006, awarded the First Knight of the Royal Order of the Polar Star by the king of Sweden in 2009, and received Cynopsis Sports Media’s Legacy Award in 2018.

The event on Wednesday, May 18 is set to run from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Attendees will also hear about UJA’s humanitarian response to the war in Ukraine, as well as its ongoing COVID-19 recovery efforts.
