Spring has finally sprung (at least it sort of has here in Montreal) and with that comes melting snow, sunshine and a bit more time spent outside, checking out local shows and enjoying our best lives.
There’s so much music that comes out around this time of year—artists often plan on dropping tracks now to start building up hype and momentum ahead of the summer festival season.
So, what better time to check out new releases from the cream of the crop of LANDR’s Distribution community?

Here’s 7 LANDR Distribution releases we loved in March.
To kick things off let’s dive into recent LANDR Rising Artist Initiative (RAI) winner JamieJ’s new album 1 Day at Time.
This four-track EP sports a handful of bobbing and dancey yet sensual pop R&B tunes that shine bright.
From the swinging and intimate tracks “Maybae” and “Free” to dancey pop jams in “Close Your Eyes” and “One More Chance—you’ll find something to make memories to.
If you’re into pop outlets like The Weeknd, DVSN or PARTYNEXTDOOR—JamieJ is totally up your alley.

Switching gears we’ve got some indie rock jams from Madrid-based Los Jardines de Bruselas new single “Fantasmas”.
The melancholic dream-pop jam evokes strong feelings and colorful emotion—judging from my limited Spanish comprehension the track is about “people who are no longer here and deep emotions in the era of TikTok”.
If you’re a fan of reverb-drenched, shoegaze jams from around the world—here’s a great new artist to check out!
If you’re looking for a good folk-rock jam to set your next fishing trip to, throw this two-sided single Sad City from The Laser Society on your playlist.
Calling back to the days when bands like The Bare Naked Ladies and The Tragically Hip ruled the airwaves, The Laser Society has that cottage-core sound that sets the scene perfectly for campfires, boat rides, forested hikes and good times.
Details online about this band are sparse, so if I knew for fact they were from Canada I’d go ahead and call this music Canadiana—maybe, they’re at least fans of the genre.
Cascades is a fresh deep house record from Ismael Xyz focussing on lowkey ambient and minimal jams.
The album explores a variety of electronic territories with some interesting synth sounds and sound design.

You’ll find bouncing house tracks, minimalist soundscapes and overall plenty of chill vibes.
Here’s a groovy new indie-funk tune Telegenic called “Signal From Above”.
With its funky drums, whirring synth tones, groovy bass and atmospheric plucky guitars—you get all the vibes you need to call it a funky indie jam.
Somewhat in the same vein, as modern funk acts like Khruangbin, this group is playing with weaving guitar, groovy drumming and indie-rock vocals.
If you’re looking for some sophisticated indie-pop jams to impress your friends with, give Telegenic a try!
I won’t lie that this producer caught my attention because I know they’re a Montreal-based act—which is where LANDR happens to be headquartered.
We always love to make a shout-out for the locals!

PETITE FESSE is a lo-fi hip-hop producer specializing in the low-key beats and grooves you might hear on one of YouTube’s many famous lo-fi playlists
With its somewhat tongue-in-cheek title, The Shape of Makeup Tutorials to Come offers a palette of relaxed lo-fi-inspired tracks—the sort of thing one might set a makeup tutorial to.
But, the tracks are tastefully produced and evoke all the relaxing, nostalgic and cozy feelings we’ve come to expect from lo-fi beat producers.
Rich Hendrixxx turns up the heat with his new reggaeton-infused single “Body”.
The sunny, dancing tune is all about those late nights at the dance hall—especially with heavy reggaeton influence and use of the dem-bow beat throughout.
If you’re looking for a dancey but down-tempo track to add to your party playlist—definitely add Rich Hendrixx to the mix.
