Kendrick Lamar nabs his third No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart thanks to “N95,” which bows atop the May 28-dated list.
“N95” starts with 37.2 million official U.S. streams in the May 13-19 tracking week, according to Luminate.
It’s Lamar’s third No. 1 on Streaming Songs, which began in 2013. He first ruled with fellow No. 1 debut “Humble” in April 2017, followed by his featured role on Lil Wayne’s “Mona Lisa,” which crowned the survey in October 2018.
Lamar claims six of the top 10 positions on Streaming Songs in all, with “N95” followed by “Die Hard,” a co-bill with Blxst and Amanda Reifer, at No. 3 (27 million streams). In between the two, Future’s “Wait for U,” featuring Drake and Tems, ranks at No. 2 (33.8 milion).
With six songs in the top 10 at once, Lamar accumulates the most simultaneous top 10 appearances in his career, exceeding the five songs within the top 10 of the Streaming Songs list dated May 6, 2017, upon the release of the album Damn.
Lamar’s 18 total songs on the May 28 survey (the entirety of new album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers) is the most he’s ever boasted on one chart at one time, eclipsing the 14 songs from Damn. on the May 6, 2017, ranking. Just one act has accrued more in one week in 2022: Bad Bunny, who charted 23 entries on the May 21 tally.
Concurrently, as previously reported, the entirety of the album reaches the multi-metric Billboard Hot 100, paced by “N95” at No. 3. Mr. Morale also claims No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 295,000 equivalent album units earned.
