Tune in live to sound experiments, performance, bent Game Boys, more from Radio AlHara

Bethlehem-founded international sound platform Radio AlHara is celebrating their collective involvement in CTM Festival with a don’t-miss program today of adventurous sonic exploration and talk. Tune in (live or we’ll add archives as available)! No FOMO, because you just don’t MO.

Khyam you’ll definitely want to catch live as this archive won’t be shared/repeated.

And this includes one exciting premiere – 3Phaz (pictured at top), the mysterious and brain-blowing Egyptian producer. Plus, you know, circuit-bend Game Boy and SuperCollider from Beirut, that always creates a disturbance in the Force that I can feel…

Radio AlHara has a number of artists on the CTM Festival program

Here’s more background on the Radio AlHara project, which has been amazing at introducing Palestinian artists, folks from across the southwest Asian region and diaspora, and the increasingly interconnected international scene they play in and inspire. They’ve been a source of togetherness in tough times on planet Earth. That has gotten notice of some big press (Al Jazeera you’ve probably heard of):

RADIO ALHARA: THE ONLINE RADIO STATION CONNECTING THE ARAB WORLD DURING LOCKDOWN [Mixmag]

Palestine underground: A new face for local radio [Al Jazeera English]

A SONIC LIBERATION FRONT FROM PALESTINE WITH RADIO ALHARA [The Funambulist]

And I’m really excited to catch up with more of what Rhea is doing as well as 3Phaz, among others here. Check the 2020 outing by 3Phaz, too, if you don’t know it:

Older one from Rhea:

And previous CTM Festival with Khyam:

We visited Dirar before, too – who I hear has benefited from everyone’s support, thanks:
